Despite the various possibilities of visual documenting, a text can capture and transmit information about the long-lasting projects in a very comprehensive way. Writing a text is one of the methods of preservation of the project, explicitly for those, who have failed to see it and in this way if may share the knowledge with the broader community. Justified, accurate and precise texts detach themselves from media frenzy, which is often accompanied by superficial, badly written and exaggerated interpretations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Local visual art scene is threatened by enemies from all sides \u2013 it is time, that we roll up our sleeves and write!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The topic of the writing is known:<br \/>\nExperimental Research &amp; Exhibition Project <em><a title=\"Video Turn\" href=\"http:\/\/www.e-arhiv.org\/video-turn\/\">Video Turn<\/a><\/em>.<br \/>\nThe method of writing is known: experiment with integral rules of the game.<br \/>\nThe first aim is: to spend as much as time as possible at the exhibition <em>Video Turn<\/em>!<br \/>\nThe second aim is: writing analitical texts about <em>Video Turn<\/em>.<br \/>\nThe third aim is: to develop a methodology of writing about experimental projects.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>TIMETABLE:<br \/>\nThe participants of the workshop must be present at least at the following events:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday, November 12, at 5 pm: introduction meeting with the mentor (Petja Grefenauer), presentation of the project (Ida Hir\u0161enfelder, Barbara Bor\u010di\u0107), attending the installment of the exhibition, and meeting the artists and their oeuvre;<\/li>\n<li>Tueasdy, November 13, at 8 pm: opening of the exhibition;<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, November 14, at 6 pm: public lecture and projection Aspects of Experimental and individual conversations with people involved in the project;<\/li>\n<li>At least twice between November 16 and 26: following the processes and happenings at the gallery;<\/li>\n<li>Thursday, November 22, at 6 pm: the analysis and conversation with the mentor (about the project, authors, video ambients and installations, processes, contexts, organizers &#8230;);<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday, November 28: attaining the screening of video sequence at the gallery;<\/li>\n<li>Saturday, December 1, at 5 pm: the final meeting with the mentor and conclusion of the workshop;<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday, December 4: submitting finished texts, individual debates with participants is going to follow after the evaluation of submitions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>MENTOR:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 5px; margin-top: 3px; margin-left: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.worldofart.org\/arhiv.worldofart.org\/aktualno\/wp-content\/2011-13\/petja_grafenauer.jpg\" alt=\"Petja Grafenauer\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" align=\"left\" \/><strong>Petja Grafenauer<\/strong> (1976)<br \/>\nHolds a PhD in Anthropology of contemporary art. She is a freelance independent curator, writer and lecturer. Her topics are mainly contemporary painting and its connection to other media and the construction of discourse in contemporary art. During 2005\u22122006 she was the editor of Department for arts and humanities at Radio \u0160tudent, one of the oldest and biggest European non-commercial radio stations. Between 2007 and 2009 she was a curator at Ganes Pratt gallery in Ljubljana. Since 2005 she is a lecturer on history of contemporary art at School of Arts at University of Nova Gorica. She regularly collaborates with SCCA\u2212Ljubljana and is coeditor of Slovenian art magazine Art Words. As a curator she is the author or coauthor of various projects, amongst others the exhibitions New tendencies (UGM, Maribor 2010); We want to be as free as our fathers were (MGLC, Ljubljana 2010); International Biennial of Graphic Arts: Matrix \u2013 unstable reality: 6 monkeys, 300 envelopes and 1 love: \u2018Imperfect as always (MGLC, Ljubljana 2009). In January 2012 she curated one man retrospective exhibition of Austrian artist Dejan Kaludjerovi\u0107 in City Gallery in Nova Gorica (January 2012). Since 2001 her art criticism and analitic and scientific texts have been published at Radio \u0160tudent, in national daily magazines Dnevnik and Delo, in Mladina weekly and Borec, ISH Monitor, Maska, Likovne besede, Ekran, Revija Fotografija, Zarez, \u017divot umjetnosti, Manifesta Journal and Art on Paper magazines. In 2008 she published a book on Slovenian painter Aleksij Kobal and in 2010 she was the editor of Authentic Interest by MSUM director Zdenka Badovinac.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>HOW TO APPLY?<br \/>\nWorkshop is especialy intended for those, who have already written critical, theoretical texts, and any texts about artworks. Specific level of formal education, profession, age and working experiences are not the terms for application.
