{"id":162,"date":"2010-03-08T15:12:01","date_gmt":"2010-03-08T13:12:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.worldofart.org\/current\/archives\/162"},"modified":"2015-05-26T14:12:52","modified_gmt":"2015-05-26T12:12:52","slug":"tender-for-applications-for-the-world-of-art-school-for-curators-and-critics-of-contemporary-art","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldofart.org\/arhiv.worldofart.org\/current\/archives\/162","title":{"rendered":"Call for applications for the World of Art, school for curators and critics of contemporary art"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WORLD OF ART<br \/>\nSchool for Curators and Critics of Contemporary Art<br \/>\nSeason 13<\/p>\n<p><strong>The call is closed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The commission (Jo\u017ee Bar\u0161i, Sa\u0161a Nabergoj and Nevenka \u0160ivavec) has selected following candidates to participate in the World of Art 13th year 2010\/11: Ana Grobler, Asta Vre\u010dko, Helena Grahek, Iva Kova\u010d, Lara Plav\u010dak, Mojca Zalo\u017enik, Sebastian Krawczyk, \u0160pela Pavli, Vladimir Vidmar, Yasmin Martin Vodopivec and \u017diga Dobnikar.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The World of Art enables paricipants to learn the knowledge, skills and methods needed to tackle the complex issues in the world of art.<\/p>\n<p>The school is intended for all who are interested in working in the field of contemporary art, regardless of experience, age and education.<\/p>\n<p>The annual school program is internal and for a selected group of participants who will be chosen by open call. The course has two semesters:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the first semester (April\u2013June 2010) is dedicated to the acquisition of art \u2013historical, theoretical and methodological skills<\/li>\n<li>the second semester (September 2010\u2013May 2011) will be dedicated to critical and curatorial studies and practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The program includes lectures, seminars, workshops, research work, modules on the practical work of the curator, study excursions and practice in galleries. The process comprises the organisation of events, studio visits, meetings with curators, artists, theorists, and writers, and teamwork in conceptualisation and preparing an exhibition of contemporary art under the tutor\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Fee: 400 euros (VAT included)<\/p>\n<p>Send or bring your <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scca-ljubljana.si\/prijavnice\/prijavnica-2010-2011-eng.doc\">application form<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>CV<\/strong>, <strong>motivation letter<\/strong> and <strong>review of selected exhibitions of contemporary art<\/strong> (up to 40 lines) to SCCA-Ljubljana, Metelkova 6, SI 1000 Ljubljana, svetumetnosti@scca-ljubljana.si<\/p>\n<p>The selection of participants will be in two stages.
