{"id":3326,"date":"2015-07-17T14:25:04","date_gmt":"2015-07-17T12:25:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.worldofart.org\/current\/?p=3326"},"modified":"2018-02-28T11:21:34","modified_gmt":"2018-02-28T09:21:34","slug":"curating-in-depth-2-manila","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldofart.org\/arhiv.worldofart.org\/current\/archives\/3326","title":{"rendered":"Curating\u2013In\u2013Depth 2: Manila"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WORLD OF ART<br \/>\nSchool for Curators and Critics of Contemporary Art<br \/>\nSeason 15<\/p>\n<p><strong>28 July\u20137 August 2015<\/strong><br \/>\nManila, the Philippines<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3327\" title=\"Curating-in-Depth 2: Manila\" src=\"https:\/\/www.worldofart.org\/arhiv.worldofart.org\/current\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/cid2-manila.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"367\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.worldofart.org\/arhiv.worldofart.org\/current\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/cid2-manila.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.worldofart.org\/arhiv.worldofart.org\/current\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/cid2-manila-300x183.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first phase of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldofart.org\/arhiv.worldofart.org\/current\/15th-season-2014-2016\/curating-in-depth\">Curating-In-Depth<\/a><\/strong>, a project prepared by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scca-ljubljana.si\/indexengl.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SCCA\u2013Ljubljana<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plantingrice.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Planting Rice<\/a> (The Philippines) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kulturpunkt.hr\/node\/29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kurziv<\/a> (Zagreb), is concluded. It provided a two-week immersion in the Slovenian contemporary art scene for six curators from Myanmar, Singapore and the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>The second phase of the project will soon be underway. This phase, which will include a two-week study excursion of Slovene and Croatian participants to the Philippines, will take place in Manila from 27 July to 8 August 2015. SCCA team <strong>Barbara Bor\u010di\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Du\u0161an Dov\u010d, Miha Kelemina<\/strong> and<strong> Simona \u017dvanut <\/strong>and Kurziv representative<strong> Antonija Letini\u0107 <\/strong>will visit Manila, where they will learn about filipino contemporary art scene and art organisations. They will also meet Manila based artists, working in the field of contemporary art.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nBeside the programme, prepared by Planting Rice, which will introduce us to the referential art spaces in Manila, a public programme, which will include curatorial mapping, lectures, round table and discussion will take place. Representatives of Slovenia and Croatia will prepare presentations of Slovenian and Croatian art system and art scene.
