Mikkel Bindslev\u2019s talk<\/strong>
\nWhat is happening now? Beginning with this question, MB sets out to discuss how archaeology liberates us from the illusion that living in the present coincides with our own \u201cnow\u201d. In this way archaeology serves as a material basis for a radical unsettling or disruption of philosophy, art and poetics.<\/p>\n

Amy Ireland\u2019s talk<\/strong>
\nBeginning with the apparent triviality of an encounter with Mikkel Bindslev on a street corner in Shanghai, Amy Ireland draws a line from the concrete to the abstract, passing through reflections on xenofeminism, xenopoetics, alienation, justice, nihilism, empathy, and suffering, to emerge, not unscathed, with an ethics of intensity founded upon the mortification of knowledge by time.<\/p>\n
