Thus exhibitions maintain the claims and traditions of applied  arts but revise and actualize them. With respect to the current process of  re-formulating the term &#8216;applied&#8217; it seems crucial to carefully scrutinize the  demands and claims made to museums and exhibitions. Particularly important in this  regard are the debates concerning democratization, participation, intervention,  utopia and knowledge production. They all have in common that they think the  &#8216;applied&#8217; and &#8216;exhibiting&#8217; together. This applies in particular to questions  related to the design of exhibitions and the handling of objects. All the  issues mentioned above will be discussed in depth at an international  conference.<\/p>\n<p>Many internationally recognized experts (<strong>Suzana  Milevska, Peter Weibel, Barbara Steiner, Erwin K. Bauer, Martin Krenn, Marion  von Osten, Kristina Leko <\/strong>and others)  will attend two day international conference.
